Hi Carolyn,

That is not right. I think maybe they do not understand what CAH is or they have a big misconception. I’m sure they have other kids with medical conditions. I would contact CARES and see if they can help you. They are in NJ and maybe they can help talk with the city and explain  what CAH is and that your son is just as normal as any other kid. Maybe you can switch the meds so that you give it before you go to work and then when you pick him up.  That way you don’ t have to rely on them to give meds. I do that with my son who goes to a little Mothers day out program twice a week for 5 hours. The director has his IM shot and instructions on how to use it. So far they haven’t had a need. They also have extra meds for the "just in case".
