Jowls like the lion man in The Wizard of Oz = Cushingoid. In e-mail correspondence with another parent on this board, I was to send a photo of our boy at that stage, but it was just so upsetting. It is much easier to recognise after the event. If you feel your child is Cushingoid, you should talk to the endocrinologist. Our boy was so healthy in every other way, and we were assured that he needed the dose. We didn’t feel great about it then or now, but it was at its worst at about 3 months, and had got much less obvious by 6 months.
