bone age advancement-17ohp 4140 for short period of time
Apr. 14th, 2004   4:44pm
My 4 year old daughter just got her latest tests back. All her hormones were right on, low even but her bone age has advanced to 5 years. This past year was more difficult on keeping up with her growth. Two tests were 1200 ish and one was 4140. We kept upping her doses accordingly and it seems that now her levels are good again. My question is can bone age advance that much in only 4 months time of 17ohp being at 4140? I asked, the same radiologist read her bone age at 2, 3, and 4 years of age. My other question is can anything be done or do we just try to keep her well in control. (I talked to the nurse but the endo is calling back and I am upset by this setback.) Also, could this be precocious puberty starting? (MY big worry) Any info will be appreciated. Thanks! Julia
