Hi Judy, No you did not misunderstand me, and my husband and I thought it was very weird for the pediatrician to put her on a stress dose for such an extended time, but we had never dealt with it before....she only ran a fever for about 48 hours and was actually never seen by the pediatrician until 6 days later when she diagnosed the sinus infection and started the  augmentin. So this shouldn’t have happened, should it? She should only have been on the stress dose for the fever? I am sooooo confused, and I don’t totally understand all of this so I feel like I can’t trust anyone to make a correct decision for her and now I am scared to death she will be put on a stress dose and her blood pressure will spike again.

What is a parent supposed to do if they can’t trust their child’s physicians? I expected them to know how to deal with her illness, but apperantly that is not the case! We live in a very rural town, not close to even where her endo practices (that’s an hour + drive away), so I must rely on her regular pediatrician for the more common illnesses....Her ped has always seemed very knowledgable, but now I am doubting this.
