I recently had laser on my thighs. I was told I would need 6 treatments. I have had 3. I will probably go back soon but I have gone almost 3 months without a treatment & the hair is just now starting to grow back. After the first treatment I thought I’d made a huge mistake because I could smell a burning smell from the hair & when I walked it hurt & I had red patches on my legs. However, that only lasted a couple of days. I am very happy now. I have been going to an electrolysis for more than 10 years for my face & lower legs. It is a very slow process & I finally decided to speed things up. I wish I’d gone to laser instead of electrolysis for my entire legs because it is so much faster. I would be reluctant to try laser on my face because it left red patches on my legs which I can’t imagine appearing in public with my face like that. Electryolisis leaves a little redness that will go away quickly, then a slight scab which goes away quickly. Electryolisis is permanent but laser (I’ve been told) is not legally allowed to make that claim, & the laser dr. I go to was forced by a licensing board to stop making that claim. She now has to say permanent hair reduction.Tracy
