LauraI have a friend that says she should be paying the nurse in our school office the tuition to attend our school because her son is ALWAYS in her office. She told me today that he is a nervous nelly at age 9. She said he has always been that way. She took him to the doctor and they decided to put him on Zantac to curb his stomach problems when he gets uptight in school. He is such a sweet little boy. He has so many friends and all the girls are giggly around him. His moms says that he is just nervous about school work on test days. We will see how he does.
I wouldn’t totally outrule CAH until I talked it over with Dr. New. Perhaps this decrease needed to be slower. You never know. OR putting her back at three times a day. We tried the twice a day and it didn’t work for my daughter. She got too tired in the afternoon. See what she says. And if all fails let your daughter talk to a counselor or your pediatrician. We are blessed with and excellent ped. that talks a lot with my daughter. See if this is an upset stomach caused by worry OR the medication change. Maybe the change in her medication schedule could upset her too. You never know with kids. Good luck!
