Mine is more in the right side also.  Around where the appendix would be though I think.  I have no appendicitus symptoms though.  It is sporadic also and also comes on when I do any back exercises or lower abdominal exercises.  The Doctor said it could be adhesions to the large bowel, which may be disturbed with too much exercise etc.   It would not surprise me if my bowel was adhered to my uterus now. lolol.  Of course the only way of knowing is by laparoscopy and if he does that he says he will try to "fix" the problem.  I am loathe to have them try to "fix" that as cutting two organs apart leaves to unhealed surfaces again that will more than likely adhere to two other organ surfaces.

Believe me it happens, but like genital surgery, adhesions are not discussed that much--although if you do a search you can find a support group on line that discusses the phenomenom and whom state that it is a very common thing after abdominal surgery and more common than one would realise.  I discussed this last time with them and we decided to leave it and wait 6 months to see if my problems resolved as I knew that invasive surgery could very well make it worse.  Unfortunately w/o the laparoscopy he is not prepared to call it adhesions, endometriosis or anything else either.  So we’re treating something that is cyclical that worsens in the estrogenic phase of my cycle and responds to natural progesterone at the moment.  He gave me a script for provera but I binned it when I came home yesterday and I  emailed him tonight about natural progesterone gels or transdermal creams  that can be used "locally"  instead since they carry no side effects if used correctly.

In my second caesarian they noted that the bladder had adhered to the uterus and seperated that and more than likely those two surfaces adhered to something else for all I know increasing my pelvic problems.  Its not uncommon for you to start with one adhesion and wind up with 6 after repeated surgeries to seperate them.

Yours sounds infection based possibly or inflammatory based.  Have you increased your meds any Megan?  Also have you tried anti biotics?  I did have an infection sometime ago and had to go into hospital for IV anti  bitoics and fluids as it was resistant and needed large doses.

My back ache started three months ago after doing an exercise for my lower back---stiff legged deadlifts.  You pick a barbell up off the floor keeping your legs straight.  It was a light weight but I did high reps and the day after my back muscle went into spasm.  The Doctor scripted oruvail tabs and after two it seemed to relax the muscles.  But now I get this problem back with my other symptoms as I say which makes me feel it is adhesion of some sort besides muscle problems.
