Pain in legs-could it have anything to do with being under-suppressed?

Hello.  I was wondering if anyone ever had a child complain of pains in their legs, maybe from being under-suppressed and having an advanced bone age?  My 8 year old SWCAH son complains on a fairly regular basis about pain in his knees and shins and heels.  He has an advanced bone age (about that of a ten year old, so we are looking at about a 2 year advancement).  His last labs came back and it seemed once again he was not on enough Cortef. so that is when I FINALLY got my endo to try the 3x a day dosing (we had been fighting that for a long time).  Anywhoo, he takes 7.5mg of Cortef 3x a day.  We have labs re-checked in a few weeks.  My son is VERY athletic-he plays soccer 3 nights a week with games on weekends and also skateboards often.  I know these 2 sports can be kind of hard on the legs, but even on the weeks when he is not active or has time off, the complaints still roll in ( and heis a pretty tough kid who doesn’t whine much at all).  The pediatrician says to make sure he is hydrated, getting vitamins, and chalked it off to typical growing pains, but I can’t help but wonder if it is related at all to his bone age being advanced.  Any insight is greatly appreciated.
