Nicole,

Cody is 7 yrs old SWCAH and complains alot about the same things! He is on cortef 3x a day and has been since birth. He takes 1 florinef with 5 mg cortef in am, 2.5 mg of cortef in afternoon and 5 mg cortef at night. His bone age is actually on target. At 7 yrs old. I give him plenty to drink. He also is very active.  Just got thru with basketball.  I  know every child is different but... I’m finding out when COdy is very active all day and is in a sport at the time or not in a sport he gets very tired and everything hurts!!! I have to make him rest awhile then he can continue. If he had 3 games a week sometimes we would only do 2 games. If he had practice every night we would skip a few. I talked with his endo about giving him an extra pill or maybe a 1/2 when he is really active and she said that was ok. It seems to help. I do not do this if it is just everyday play. I suggested changes his doses but his lab work is fantastic. I also notice it is always at bedtime when everything hurts so bad. I think he is a typical boy wanting to do what every other boy is doing but at times his body cannot handle it!!!!  He is not a boy that whines either. He would go above and beyond to have his fun. Just wanting to share what I go thru.
