I may be wrong but I think Cortef is hydrocortisone.  How much hydrocortisone was your daughter taking when the dr. switched her to pedipred??

I am curious if others have had experience or knowledge about the difference between these two medications.  I thought the prednisone was more of an option after puberty.  I would appreciate it if anyone else has had experience with both if you would share it with us.   

Do you have the lab results back yet??  Which lab does your doctor send to?  Our old endo. sent to a lab that supposedly has a reputation for screwing up results.  My sons 17ohp was 8500 and then it was tested again a couple of days later and sent to esoterix and the result was 360.  Our new endo. will not rely on any results unless they are done by esoterix lab.  This seems crazy to me that treatment decisions are being made and kids are being medicated based on bad lab results.
