re: re: EMS: solu-cortef on board?

You need to call the non-emergency number for EMS in your area. You need to speak to the Director of EMS as he/she is the only one who can do anything for you. I had a face to face meeting with ours and they only carry dexamethasone on board. We had a protocol implemented for my kids that allows them to carry Solu-Cortef on each unit and has the indications for use, doseage, etc. Our endo also sent them the doseage of Dex just in case. As the doses change through the years, I just have to call and update the file. Also, since we have 911 our phone number and address are flagged as having health problems with info on file.

Hope this helps
