great to hear someone is in same position as me.  My daugher’s consultant gave me some research material.  A good one is research carried out in New York.  It is from the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism 86(12):5651-5657. and the same journal vol.87, No 9 4048-4053 (a website is www.endojournals.org/cgi/content/full/87/9/4048).  Side effects for the mother can be weight gain, increased liklihood of stretch marks, glucose intolerance, excess fluid and hypertension.  I have not read that dex can cause depression, but I guess it effects each person differently.  some don’t have any negative side effects over and above the usual for them during pregnancy.  It isn’t an easy decision to make.  If you want to keep in touch email me and I can pass on anything new I learn.
