MarieHi Michelle,
My symptoms are excess facial hair, which really isn’t as bad as I have seen on some woman. It is managable with waxing about every 2 weeks. I am contemplating laser hair removal. I am a little hairy on the lower back and have a strip from navel to pubic, that, I bleach. I have occasional acne, (at 49). Believe it or not, I use Ivory soap and and an astringent(what ever is on sale), if it gets really bothersome, i have an erythromycin cream. I am the shortest in my family at 5’3", my siblings are 5’7" to 6’1". I am large boned, I wear a size 9 1/2 ring. I also wear a size 8ww shoe. I have thin hair at the temples, and in the very front. I went through the infertility (diagnosed with PCOS) had the miracle child at age 27, (no medical intervention). I have 2 adrenal adenomas, elevated urinary 17-ketosteroids, Oh, lets see. I have clinical depression, doing well with medication and counseling. Last but not least, enlarged clitoris, which for me and my boyfriend is not a problem. I have cardiac problems, and a host of physical ailments, which I wonder if they are just the results of never being treated. I have read girls/women with LOCAH or CAH are good with math, I just finished a college calculus class with a 4.0.
As far as treatment, if i were a good candidate for steroids I would probably take them. I took steroids for arthritis and ended up with a severe steroid psychosis, and while on the steroids my diabetes was very hard to control.
I really don’t feel like a superwoman because I am always tired. I have had some problems when I get sick, my colds and flus are worse than the average person. If I vomit or get diarrhea, I really feel bad, it’s 4 days in bed with the gatorade, once I prayed for a quick exit.
I hope this has helped, and I don’t mind sharing my experience.
