My son is a CAH carrier and has symptoms of premature adrenarche - body odor and a little pubic hair at age 7.   My nephew, who has the same symptoms,  was just tested and doesn’t seem to even be a carrier.   My son has been taking a very small dose of cortef - 5 mg a day.  Do you think I should discontinue this?  I mean, if the CAH gene isn’t causing the adrenarche, would cortef not work?
