Judy WLouise,
My son, now 9, was on the sodium chloride supplement from 4 days old until he was around 6 - 7. He was on as much as 44 cc per day at times. We also added, and still due, table salt to his food. When he first started on it he was in the Children’s hospital in our area for a week so they were mixing the solution in their pharmacy. I use a family run pharmacy for my sons meds in order to get a more personalized service(my family has been affiliated with them since before I was born). Before my son even came home from the hospital I had contacted the owner / pharmacist at the pharmacy we use and I asked him to speak with the hospital pharmacist to learn how to make the solution. He was more that happy to do so. He would make the solution when we ordered it. To be honest I don’t remember how long it took us to go through it but I don’t ever remember being told that there was an expiration of two weeks. This solution even required a prescription from my sons endo.
