I have a 31/2 year old SWCAH son.  He is great and truly a blessing.  His screening did not come back before he was seriously ill.  However, we worked thru all that and now he is a picture of health.  He spent 1 week in the hospital when he was a week old from him not be diagnosed in time, but since then he has had a few trips to the ER but not stays in the hospital.  He has had to have an IV once due to dehydration, and he broke his arm when he was two.  I promise things get easier,and it all becomes second nature.  He will be like all other children his age.  Enjoy him.
