Dear Eric,

Sorry to hear about your "sports" injury (wink, wink) . I’ve never had anything like that happen but I do plan on talking w/my Endo about glucosamine. I was reading that it is good to take it in liquid form which I like because I’m already taking calcium supplements (x 2 pills) for the osteopenia and of course the hydrocortisone(x 3 pills) . I can’t take them together because the calcium lessens the effect of the hydro according to a calcium supplement/ medication interaction web page that I came across.

For awhile, I was having trouble around my right hip area and it felt like two bones were rubbing against each other but that went away after I lost some weight. Also, for the longest time (age 16 to 27 ) I had trouble with the lower outside area of my right knee. I do have trouble opening jars and I was wondering if that has anything to do with the cortisone use.

Good Luck,

Aimee
