hi matt! first of all, i will keep you in my prayers that your surgeries go really well and that the tumors are benign. i just recently read an article about this very thing. by the way, i am a mom of a 5 month old swcah son. he, too, almost died at 12 days. anyway, the jist of the article was that these tumors are usually the result of undersupression (not enough steroids) throughout life and ARE usually benign. it stressed that your fertility and testicles can, and should be, preserved. it seems like the surgeons are doing this by doing the biopsy first instead of just removing the testicles. i will be happy to give you the name and journal this article appreared in or to mail it to you if you would like. just drop me an email. hang in there!
