My daughter got her 1st bone age at either 1 or 2 years of age(can’t remember, she is now 7) and gets them done on an annual basis. We have had wide variances depending on who reads them. Now only the endo reads them. There is a subjectiveness to reading them, which is frustrating to those of us who want real concrete specific answers.  I was told there is a standard error of measurement of about one year on either side. And for this reason it is just one test measure that is considered when determining treatment.
