I disagree, you don’t need to rush straight to the hospital.  Our endocrinologist gets us to give oral medication (triple dose) and if that is not tolerated we give the solu cortef injection and see if they improve.  Of course if they are still vomiting or have diarrhea then we do take them to the childrens hospital but usually they pick up and are up and running around again in a couple of hours.  It’s so much better for our kids if they can be home when they are sick rather than hospital.
