We had quite a scare today. Kaden woke up this morning with a 103.4 temp. She was also very lethargic. She seemed to have NO energy, she just laid in my arms completly limp. I gave her motrin for her fever and gave her a shot of solu-cortef. We then proceeded to go to the ER. We were taken back immediatley. They ran labs on her and all came back "great" according to the ER doc and her endo. She was not dehydrated at all and there was no sign of infection. She has a virus which should pass within a couple of days. This was the first shot I have given. I was so scared I would screw it up, but I got through it and she is doing much better tonight. As much as I hate to say it, I’m glad the first shot is over. I think the first is always the hardest. I’m more confident now. It’s amazing the strength you find in yourself when it comes to your children. Her endo says she wasn’t exactly in crisis, but without the shot it would have been unavoidable. Thanks for letting me vent to you all about our hard day!Heather
