Matt,  These all sound like excellent ideas.  The Cares Foundation is very good about getting information for things just like this. 

Your post didn’t mention how old you are so I will tread lightly with my next suggestion.  If, after you do all the research and fact gathering you find out that they do have to remove them,  please be aware that there is a way to freeze your sperm so that you can still have a chance at having children (if you want) at a later date - or whenever you are ready.
