RobertaFirst - congrats on the new addition!
Secondly, I have two children with CAH and belong to CARES. Go to the web site for more information. Newborn screening is being pushed for states that do not have it already in law but the baby girls are usually defected by the genital. My oldest was a boy and almost died because there were no signs of it at birth, like with baby girls. She will be fine and has perfectly formed interal female organs. CAH is treatable. My boys are ages 5 and 10 now and are doing great. Email me anytime - robertapre@msn.com or call CARES on the toll free number.
