Dear Jessica,

My thoughts and prayers will be with your daughter this Thursday. Surgeons were put on this earth to help us and I have faith that your daughter will be fine.

I can remember waking up in the recovery room from the first surgeries when I was five and seeing the green wall of monitors.  I actually felt very content if you can imagine that. It would be nice if she could have her own stuffed animals with her. I know my little Bambi and my teddy with the eye patch helped me feel so much better.

When I was 21 and had surgery for the vaginal stenosis (no big deal) but WHAT really bothered me the most wasn’t the gas that I felt after surgery but rather that I wasn’t given the food that I LIKED (smile) very important ..my gosh after going through surgery and I get mac and cheese with green peas? yuck  (smile)  So make sure they give her the food that she likes.

Godspeed,

Aimee
