Fits
Jun. 7th, 2004   4:17pm

I don’t know if this is CAH related but in my gut I feel that her medication is contributing to her behavior.  On and off my daughter seems to go into these raging fits that she can’t calm down from.  Generally this occur at pre-school and I often times have to leave work to pick her up.  These can last up to an hour consisting of violent crying, arguing, kicking & hitting.  Granted she is very head strong but this just doen’t seem right, and frankly I am at my wits end.

I talked to a Psychologist who observed her behavior and he thought that she was intellegent for her age but a bit socially behind and it was causing frustration.

This is my thought, can’t emotional stress drain our CAH kids too.  Ali only takes her Cortef twice a day and we have been able to keep her levels under control with this dosing.  However, I am wondering if it just isn’t enough during these our burst to allow her to calm herself down.

I greatly appreaciate any advice, suggestions etc...
Thank you, Stacy (stressed out in Colorado!)
