My Endo once said to me that if I walked out of the consulting rooms and was hit by a car and got a broken leg, I’d need the Solu-Cortef immediately/stat/pronto!

Maybe it’s because a break for an adult is more severe than for children with ’greenstick’ fractures.  I’ve never had a fracture of any kind, either as a child or as an adult, so I have no personal experience.
