I think it really depends on the severity of the break.  My oldest SW CAH’er has had broken two bones,  collar bone and a minor break in his leg when he was just two (his uncle was throwing him in the air).  He did fine without an injection,  I did triple dose him for both breaks,  but it hardly seemed necessary.  I think if you get hit by a car that is an entirely different situation.
