Kay,  I wanted to say one more thing about the Cortef vs the Dex.  I’m only quoting what my endo has said to me very recently I’m not at all speaking from experience.  I recently asked her about what would cause someone to change from the Cortef to either Dex or Pred.  She was explaining that in most cases (not all) that it is for convenience because the Cortef is 3 x’s a day and the other two (can’t remember which order) are 2x’s and 1x.  However, she said that if the patient was well controlled and didn’t have a problem taking it 3x’s a day that was her preference.  She feels that it better simulates the bodies natural process.  Not at all suggesting that you shouldn’t make a change just thought I would pass along some information from a recent conversation with her.
