hi paige! a big congrats on your new grandaughter!! as others on this website have said, she WILL be okay. my son is 5 months old and a saltwaster. i wont lie, we are still having our share of ups and downs. however, the 1st 3 months were THE worst by far. i honestly think it is b/c the 1st 3 months babies just sleep, cry, eat and poop, so you cant really tell that the child will be "normal." once she starts to smile, grab for things, laugh out loud and basically interact with you all, you will begin to feel better. also, by then you have researched it all and know that, although there will be health issues, it is treatable. none of us wish our kids had this, but life sometimes throws you curves. please dont hesitate to ask ???s to the endo and this message board. knowledge really is power!!!!
