JessicaPaige,
Biggest thing . . . Congrats on the new baby!! My daughter was also the first grand-daughter in our family . . . on my husband’s side.
I can remember all too well how scary it was when Loghyn was first born. She has SW CAH and was diagnosed at birth because of her ambiguous genitalia. She’s now 14-1/2 mths old. All of the information is SSSOOOOOO overwhelming . . . but that is your best defense!! Read as much as you can . . . talk to as many people as you can . . . ask as many questions as you can . . . and remember that no question is stupid except the one that goes unasked!!! We’ve all been there!!!
Loghyn has had surgery (actually only about 1-1/2 wks ago!). It was extrememly harrowing fo rhte 6 hours she was in there, but she is almost completely recovered!! By 2 days later she was up playing! :o)
As far as how she feels, I can’t tell you that, but the way she acts, she is ALL GIRL!!! ahha!! She loves to cuddle & play with her babies. She very very happy & sweet . . . loves to sing & dance. We lead an otherwise normal life . . . her meds are part of the routine, just like changing a diaper or giving her a bath!
It does get easier . . . hang in there.
Feel free to email me. I’d be more than happy to share with you.
Love & God Bless,
Jess
