I was reading the posts on the salt & I was wondering, do most salt wasting kids stay on salt for a long time? Our 6month old has stopped taking the salt supplement now that she is on solid foods. She takes Florinef 1 crushed tab twice a day now. Her blood pressure was WAY to high for an infant while on the sodium & now it’s normal & her labs are fine...is she the "exception" to the rule or does it just depend..some kids need it & some don’t depending on how much of a salt waster they are? Also, we don’t add salt to her solids, however her 2 yr old sister loves to play withthe salt & pepper shakers & will let her little sister lick the salt off her hand....Paige goes nuts for the salt! I joke that she is a future margarita drinker..skip the drink just give her the glass with the salt!
Her Endo. has 5 CAH patients in his practice, and I totaly trust him! I just have been calling him all week & thought I would give him a break from at least 1 question for the day :7)
