re: Total Urogenital Mobilization

My daughter (now 9 years old) had her labia seperated when she was 11 months old.  They were fused together.  She was able to urinate but would not be able to sexual intercourse when she is an adult if they were not seperated.

At age 4 her clitoris started to grow at a rapid rate and it caused her a lot of pain.  It was sticking out, sort of like a penis, but it was not, I repeat, WAS NOT a penis.  It was her clitoris that was just growing too rapidly.  Her surgeon was excellent.  We got to the Children’s HOspital of Los Angeles here in California.

She had her clitoral reduction completed and we have not had any problems since.  As far as her sexual sensation when she is older.  I have spoken to other women on this message board that have assured me that it just takes time, but once her and her husband get the rhythm down, the sex will be very satisfying.

Don’t fret.  We’ll pray for you.  She will be just fine.  And she will be just like any other adult when she is older.

An it is better to have the surgery when they are younger.  Ashley had hers on a Monday and we were on our way home on Wednesday morning.
