My daughter is a year and a half. The hospital where she was treated discussed surgery shortly after diagnosis and explained that surgeons were moving towards not doing surgery during infancy because of difficulties some adults with CAH were expressing. I did not wish for my daughter to have surgery, however, I have read that surgical proceedures have greatly improved over the last few years. My daughter has an enlarged clitoris. This is becoming less noticable as she grows, and we have not noticed any further growth, like the other lady has mentioned. I think what is much better for parents today is that we have the choice. Every child’s virilisation is different and how parents deal with it is different. I wish you and your daughter all the best.
