It’s always fun to read about other adrenal conditions. I became interested in Adrenal Hypoplasia http://www.emedicine.com/PED/topic45.htm after coming across doctors that after I would tell them that I was born with Adrenal Hyperplasia diagnosed at birth http://www.emedicine.com/PED/topic48.htm they would tell me that I was incorrect and that I must mean Hypoplasia.  I don’t blame them for thinking hypoplasia because hypo does mean lacking (right? ) as in lacking cortisol  but I figured that it would be to my benefit to have an elementary understanding of the difference of the two conditions. Doctors have so much to learn about many, many, many conditions. I was in the hospital two years ago for something else and the admitting doctor asked me to explain CAH to him because it just isn’t something they spend a lot of time on in medical school.
