Lisa VJust for those of you who would like to know. Particularly those of you that are against this surgery.
My daughter’s clitoris was growing, it was indeed her clitoris, not a penis, she sits down to pee and she has never peed any other way. Several of her endo’s patients are age 16 and up. One of them has recently had a child. She had a clitorial reduction when she was a child. She had NO PROBLEM experiencing sexual satisfaction during intercourse.
If you experience this dis-satisfaction-maybe you should look at the surgeon that did it incorrectly. My daughter’s surgeon, Dr. Hardy, usually repairs what other surgeons in other states screwed up.
The decision did not come lightly for the surgery, my daughter was in severe pain. she did not want to wear clothing below the waist because of the pain. she was 4 1/2 years old and understood that something wasn’t right in her genital area. Her chromosomes are female not male, even the surgeon said it was not a penis.
I have alot of sympathy for parents that struggle with this decision. In the end my husband and I made the right decision.
