There is a big difference between a medically necessary surgery and one that is simply comsetic. It sounds like there was some very definite medical necessities involved in your decision, and you made the right decision. While I feel the decision should be post-poned, in cases of cosmetic surgery, until the girl is old enough to participate in the decision, it sounds like you had no choice.
