KayJust wondering about the adrenaline thing. My daughter had to stop basketball a few years ago because it was physically too exhausting running the drills. She would be so wiped out after a practice or a game and we would give extra Cortef. Maybe it was an adrenaline insufficiency?
By the way, she showed physical signs of CAH at birth, was not diagnosed until she was 3, we were told she was not a salt waster but at the age of 5 florinef was added to make her cortef work better. I have always maintained that she was a least a mild salt waster and I believe she is. When we tried (under dr’s orders) to stop the florinef about 18 months ago, she became very sick within 24-48 hrs. We gave florinef, canned soup (very salty) and saltine crackers to eat and within the hour she was back to normal - sounds like a salt waster to me. I mention this because I think the article indicated it may be a problem with more severe salt wasters, but I believe the adrenaline thing may be a problem for my daughter as well.
