Danny CarltonThe trouble is that we would have absolutely no way of knowing if your message is legitimate, or a con game. There are tons of con artists on the internet pulling scams like this daily. Locally, in a nearby town, the churches have gotten together to solve this problem within the community by setting up a program with the police, a local gas station, and local restaurant and a local hotel. The person needing assistance goes to a church, the church calls the police station and the police issue a voucher to the person for what the church tells them, then the business gives the gas, food or lodging to the person in need and the church that authorized the voucher reimburses the business.
I see no reason why a local police station in any town wouldn’t want to assist in preventing fraud by participating in such a program. Tell me what town do you live in and I myself will call the local police to attempt to set up a method for them to receive the donations for you, and you can then get the money from them.
