When her blood sugar drops, it is usually early am hours while she sleeps.  I generally wake up to her being lethargic and unresponsive.  In really bad instances she has what the doctor calls semi-seizures. Her eyes are open but her body stiffens and jerks.  At this time her levels have read as low as 17!  Very Scary!!! We get her to the ER where she gets a dextrose IV.  Once the sugar goes up and she wakes up they send us home.  Of course she sleeps the entire day after an episode.
