Danny, is he hungry due to meds or is it more a habit?  My daughter would be hungry when she was over-suppressed, but then when we got the meds down where they needed to be she was still wanting to eat out of habit, not hunger.  I can’t imagine letting a child be hungry, but if it is habit then they are not feeling hunger pains.  If it is truly hunger, I would have labs run.

This is a hard problem with CAH kids.  We found that if we eliminated all the wrong foods and only had the healthy, low fat, low calorie foods available, Kristin wasn’t tempted to pig out and if she did want more to eat, it wasn’t going to have the same effect of piling on extra pounds.  After all, you can’t expect a kid to have enough control to bypass the cookies, candies, etc. and ask for celery w/peanut butter, a cheese stick, carrots, etc.
