hi corri! i just wanted to clarify about the acth stim test and dna testing. some of those were my posts. my son is getting tested b/c his labs do not always support his diagnosis AND (most importantly) he NEVER had any baseline labs done after his newborn screen came back positive. long story. a newborn screen is just that, a screen NOT a diagnostic test. i, too, have 2 daughters not affected with cah. my endo feels (and i agree) that the time to do dna testing with them is when they marry. i will urge them to have their mates tested b/c if the new spouse is not a carrier, they will not have a child with cah even if they are carriers. others might just want to know if their other children are carriers. i dont THINK that means your endo is blowing you off but just my opinion there. hope this helps clarify a little!
