My daughter, while only 7 months old is not a big eater, nor is she a "Chubby" baby. She is long & thin, just like her non-CAH sister was at her age. I think, just my opinion, that when we as CAH parents see our CAH child eatting alot, we worry about the medication & CAH being the cause. Other parents may blow it off as a phase or growth spurt. We are very aware of growth & development & then come to this board to express our fears & concerns. So that may be why you see the posts about eatting, just my thought. My daughters Endo., the genetics Physician who I have spoken with a number of times & I have all discussed having my non-CAH daughter tested. They both thought that the test could be done if I wanted it too, however at this point finding out if she is a carrier or not does not change anything. So, we made the decision to wait at this point. If she wants to be tested as a teen...fine, if she wishes to wait until she wants children, fine. I don’t think your endo is MEANING to blow you off, he/she probably feels that you have enough on your plate with your son.
Hope you are finding the support you need on this board
