hi kristin! i have NO idea about whether or not the cah is related to the headaches. my son with swcah is just 6 months old. however, i have a very good friend in indiana who has twin boys with chiari malformations. they are now 18 months and do seem to have headaches. they will occasionally bang their heads against the walls and hold on to the tops of their heads. personally, i WOULD do another mri. not to scare you at all ( i would not classify theirs as mild) but they both just had brain surgery but are doing much better now. i am curious, what made your child have a mri in the 1st place?? what were the initial symptoms?? my friend’s sons were having serious swallowing difficulties. best of luck and let us know how it all goes.
