We were told the same as Laura. But I think different children respond better to either aceteminophen or ibuprophen. I have talked to mothers who say only tylenol works for their child and we have the exact opposite--only advil works for our child. Once with a high fever I tried the alternating of meds every 4 hours trick. It was miserable because the Tylenol didn’t work at all, her fever spiked and we had to wait 4 hours before I could give her meds that worked for her. So now I just wait 5 hours and gived advil again. Just wanted to give a heads up that everyone needs to know what works for their child. Julia
