I found this article very interesting. It is on the CARES latest newsletter. I am going to take it to our endo next week and give her a copy. No doctor has ever said anything about CAH and not being able to regulate glucose as well, (even though we hear this over and over and this article proved it.) It made me sad to read that CAH affects not only the outside of the adrenal gland but also the cortex where adrenaline is produced. Just one more thing to wonder about and worry about. We never noticed problems when my daughter was younger but now that she is 4 we are noticing problems with overheating and exercise. It’s sad as my husband and I are very active and love to rock climb and backpack and ski. My daughter loves these things already, too. I just don’t want to push her too much. Ugh. julia
