i also have a little girl with SWCAH. She too suffers from being short. I have heard that CAH is also known as a growth disorder. This is NOT a fact just what I’ve heard. I figure its from the hrdocortizone that they have to take.

For Louise, you may want to consider consulting with your child’s ped endo for the overweight and shortness. It may mean that your child is overmedicated. Another side-effect from being over medicated is the moon shaped face. Now don’t get me wrong, this is not a bad thing. There’s really such a thing of over dosing on hydrocortizone, which is awsome for us but you may want to check things out.

My daughter’s last check up showed she had grown a little more than usual. and when you compare that to her blood test, it showed she actually "grew out of her medication". We had to change her dose and give a little more in the morning.
