By registration I was referring to an optional registration that would preserve the posting name, let the user know which posts are new, allow access to an added members only forum, and display any data they chose to put on their "profile". Access to the boards currently here would still be open to anyone.

There is the problem with people assuming registration is reguired to post. I’ve had friends from church glance at and leave my site http://LookListenLearn.org, because I offer registration there for grade keeping, and they assumed it was required and they had to pay.
