Thanks for your posts of support! I will definitely be writing a letter to the hospital about that night. I was afraid that I was making too much of the situation, until I read your posts and her new Pediatrition said they should have done things differently.

They don’t have a peds floor here at our local hospital, nor do they have any endos. It’s way too small of a community. This past March when my daughter had to be hospitalized because of the Rota Virus we took her straight down to UVA medical center where her endo is. They took her being ill very seriously there, and immediatly put her on several doses of IV fluids. I guess I was nieve in thinking they would do the same for us here at our local hospital. I will be putting together a binder full of her medical information and asking her endo for a letter stating what to be done in an emergency. I really think that is a great idea!

I just wish I could remember names of people. I know the doctors name, because it’s in the prescription, but am clueless as to the triage nurses name. I even showed them her medical alert bracelet! I thought for sure that would budge them! But it did absolutely nothing. Hopefully I can get somewhere with a complaint should we ever have to go there again.
