LauraGive them hell Sherry!
A while ago someone posted a letter they hand over to the nurse in E.R. on arrival. I added and subtracted some things to make it meet my daughter’s needs. If I can remember, someone posted it here a few years ago and I copied it and took it to my daughter’s endo. We both looked it over together and personalized it to my daughter’s needs. I wish there was a way I could post it here. If someone would like a copy of it, I can email it to them. Her endo. now keeps this in his files to give out to his new CAH patients. This way they see the importance of quick treatment in a letter form. If they ever start to question me, I tell them to call her endo. whose name and phone number and after hours phone number are posted. So far they have told me how extremely helpful it has been to them. Let me know if anyone wants a copy or Danny can have it posted here. I posted my email address above, or Danny you can show me a way to post the example here. Like I said, you can take the copy to your child’s endo. and personalize it together. This has helped me ALOT because when it is E.R. time my mind is racing and they are throwing all sorts of questions out to me. This way it is all calmly written and up to date for them to copy. Saves time also for our children that are so sick that every minute counts. Let me know.
