When I have needed to take my daughter to the ER, I have always called the ped endo on call first (of course it has never happened during normal business hours!) The dr then knows to call the ER to make sure the situation is handled correctly. The is the protocol that the ped endo’s have set up.

And just as a reminder to new folks out there -- don’t wait for the ER to give your child an injection, you could wait forever. If your child needs an injection, give it at home before going to the ER.
